Dear All,

It is fact and almost every mining engineer have gone through this type of situation. It is worse in case of single mine owners.
interestingly if you think that this mine owner are not aware of regulation and rule then you are wrong.
They are totally commercial people and exploit our weakness .
Why this issue  of safety is not highlighted in media whereas issues of environment ,forest and wildlife are in center stage. Why human life ,when it is endangered is not given any attention.

Dear all,
I agree with the views of Mr Murty . Just resign and inform the DGMS of all the violations .This way Top Management woould be under pressure to follow the safety rules , regulations and Mines Act provisions.

Mr. Murthy,
All respect to your feelings. You have asked that how can we change the system.

Yes, only we (mining engineers) can change the system. Just do not compromise with the safety regulations. If any pressure come just resign from the such companies.

One thing I would like to add, through out my career I have tried to follow 100% regulations and the results were best in those mines. Basically, it is a myth that if you follow rules productivity will go down. My personal experience says that productivity increases by minimum 25% if you follow the regulations religiously.

Dear friend,
I want to share something about mining in Kerala...,
I wonder that how mining/ Quarrying in Kerala is so different from other states of India? Bcoz, now a days the mine owners they least bothered on Rules and regulations. They even give no respect to Mining engineers. the Quarries are death troops. If friends wants after my post, I will upload the photos. may be 50-100 mtrs of bench heights, no medical, no 1st aids, no training, no Safety at all..., you just cant believe.
I always feel how to change the system which we never seen ? Can anybody ?
there is a serious need to our directorate should take necessary actions about this. if anybody is working in kerala sector please shrare....,
Thank you
