Dear all
CBT is not appropriate for mine Manager's exam. in my opinion this is the matter of creativity. what a manager should do according to the upcoming situations. for the experienced personnel they can bring more light by virtue of their experience and for the qualified engineers they can use their qualification as well as experience.but in CBT this can not be seen. this can only be done through the conventional way of exam, but focus should be given to transparency of the exam. in CBT I think the mining syllabus will be very minimum in comparison to the responsibility of a mines Manager.

regards
Aditya

Dear Sir

I didn't mention Degree, Diploma and  field in my conversation. Just expressed my view for justification to real talent and knowledge in examination and to eliminate luck factor.
My opinion is that one should win race with their knowledge and dedication not with fate and luck, whatever their basic qualification. I am also having friends from the field who were grown from Blaster to Mines Manager position and knowledgeable than some of the graduates & Diploma holders now a days. Here concern is to respect knowledge neither qualification nor years of experience.

Respected Mining Engineers,
What is the purpose of the Oral exam? This is the system to filter incompetent Managers and select competent Managers
Most of leading mining companies and our department are totally neglecting the diploma holders. why? Diploma holders have more Mining field experience than any others. But no respect in any category whether in Jobs or in competitive exams. I have seen most of my diploma holder friends having lot of mining knowledge, subject knowledge, field experience but still they struggling to pass competent exams. If Exams becomes even more strict and complicated, they remains in same the place. But Bach Engineers have lots of opportunities and one subject to pass and in short period they achieve their goals.
If Respected DGMS is given chance to proposal of CBT and suggestions, my personal opinion is,in the Written exam/CBT eligible for oral exam mark should be 60+ and oral exams is only for certificate cross checking and other formalities.
 Thank you.........
