Sub: Invitation for SMP-2016
Dear Sir,
It is a great pleasure to inform you that the Department of Mining Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, is going to organise a National Conference on "Sustainable Mining Practices (SMP 2016)" during 02 -03 December 2016. A copy of the information brochure of SMP-2016 is enclosed for your reference.
Mining can become more environmentally sustainable by developing and integrating practices that reduce the environmental impact of mining operations. These practices include measures such as reducing water and energy consumption, minimizing land disturbance and waste production, preventing soil, water, and air pollution at mine sites, and conducting successful mine closure and reclamation activities.
The objective of SMP-2016 is to utilize the scientific, technical, educational and research potential of the coal/mineral extraction community to contribute to a sustainable future.
We earnestly seek your contributions by sending a research paper or sharing the recent problems in the mining areas in the conference.
The conference detail is also available on the website (www.smp16.nitrkl.ac.in). Online registration can be done.The hardcopy of the brochure is also posted in your address.
I shall look forward to hearing from you forsharing your knowledge in the conference.
