In my opinion the pattern of examination should be practical. The renewal of competency certificate after every five years or ten years period should be adapted after taking theory and viva examinations. Of course, I am also a First Class Mine Manager (R) Competency Certificate holder (six theory papers at one time in 1991). Being mining profession located in forlorn, the managers are not remaining updated neither by technology nor by latest development in the profession. DGMS should run the refresher courses in this behalf.

Dear sir I agree with you regarding examination pattern. The negative marking should be implemented in this CBT exam. The selection of first class manager will be more transparent with this negative marking. In this process those candidates will be selected who really intelligent and having knowledge of Mines regulation and they also implement the same after selection in their mine.
