I hold that to come up in life one should take additional responsibilities , i mean one should volunteer &take even if it is  not given. To stay saturated, get depressed when others go up the ladder go by rule book
This is the reason why many first class managers remain there and few rise up to Vice preseident or president level

Arunchalam sahab is correct in saying that you should take additional responsibility for your career growth. This perhaps holds good in organised sector. I personally know that small cement plants in this area recruit first class mine managers to fulfill the statutory requirement and fail to recruit subordinate statutory officials. As a result, mine managers are forced to perform duty of subordinate mining officials.
Reg 34(9)(b) of MMR 1961 is clear in this regard. It states that no manager shall be entrusted by the owner or agent with any work, nor shall he himself perform any work, which will necessitate his frequent or prolonged absence from the mine.

hello members.
please mention the rule which prescribes that
owner should not entrust manager of the mine with additional duty
other than his statutory duties.since i have been assigned duty to
look after one section of plant previously looked after by plant
management and i do not want to manage it.suggest remedy.
