Government has issued an Ordinance to provide for allocation of coal mines along with land and infrastructure already in place and also to allow grant of permit, license and lease for commercial mining of coal. All such permits, license and leases will be granted through competitive bidding process.
This opens up huge opportunities for private sector to enter in coal mining for captive use and also for commercial mining.
