the scale on plan it self is used for measure the plan position at instantly it suites to all conditions and measures actually on plan.

If the plan or map is to be used after few years, the numerical scale may not give accurate results due to shrinkage of the sheet or paper. However, if graphical scale is also drawn, it will shrink proportionately and distances can be found accurately. the field data/ feature is depicted using scale. u can
not show one km on a plan and u cant carry or see such a big
map. think it is to make u convenient and is purely
engineering. OK
