Sir,
Safety management System is a recommendation of 9th conference under which mining operations will be split into different activites as possible and each hazard will be assessed by giving the marks as per guide lines of DGMS circular 13 of 202 on safety Management system ). After assessing the risk, control measures through SOP( Safe Operating Procedures) will be prepared for each activites for example – Safe Operating procedure for Loading Operation and Transportation etc.
Whereas COP is Code of Practice is recommendation of 7th conference on safety in mines for different operations in Mines like for example for Waste Dump maintaining the height of dump, angle, road gradient etc.

anyone can kindly clarify whether SOP means Safe Operating Procedure or Standard operating Procedure.
what is the exact difference between COP and SOP with any example.
