There is no provision to keep manager certificate in costody at mine management. They shall keep only xerox copy. It should be produced only at the time of any verification. There are regulation to keep the original certificate only upto the post of Mine Foreman.

Very Unfortunate,
Only statutory certificate of Supervisor Can be retained by the Manager and when needed it shall be given to candidate on token.
There is no law which says to retain all the original educational certificates.
this act of employer is total shame.

.Dear Members, Kindly any body clarify the following narrated below One of our friend Mining engineer was employed by the state government as Asst. Manager Mines. The employer required the original certificates for verification and the same was submitted. The candidate was passed in the First Class Written and was suppose to attend the oral at Nagpur. Hence he requested the employer to give back the originals for attending the exam at Nagpur. The employer denied initally but after lot of hurdles he received the certificate and attended the exam. Now the employer again demanding the originals to keep it in their custody in order to have a hold on the candiadates and monthly salary kept on hold till certificates being submitted to them. There are few candidates who have struck up .Kindly share your views and ideas to help them My question is 1) Is it lawful for the employer to keep the original certificates and threatening them ? 2) Any rule or act which says originals to be received and kept in their custody ? 3) How to overcome this problem where most of the minig engineers face today ? Add. Information - Bond has been executed for 5 working years while employer seeking for original certificates Thanks & Regards NK Murthy Mines Manager |
