Ministry of Mines has issued a Gazette notification "Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Removal of Difficulties Order, 2017 to overcome difficulties being faces by the Lease applicants whose applications were saved under Section 10A(2)(c) of MMDR Act.


Federation of Indian Mineral Industry (FIMI) has also written a letter to the Prime Minster of India appealing for his urgent intervention to save the mining lease applications about to be lapsed on 11th January 2017.
