gallery width of 5-6m under Reg. 99 is permitted by DGMS in special cases only like Continuous Miner etc. with some necessary conditions and in consultation with Scientific agency like, CIMFR etc.

Standards have been given till 4.8m width of the galleries. But now a days there are lots of mines are working with 5-6m width of the galleries with irrespective of depth as considering from 150m only.
