The Goa Group Vocational Training Centre (GGVTC) was established by the Mines Owners in Goa in the year 1974 under the Mines Vocational Training Rules 1966, to cater to the training need of the mining industry in Goa parts of Kolhapur & Sindhudurga in Maharashtra. The Centre functions from its own premises at Supriya Apartment, Haveli, Curti, Ponda (Goa), since 1999. The Centre is given annual permission for conducting training by the Director of Mines Safety, Goa Region. GGVTC provide training to various categories of mines employees as per syllabus approved by DGMS. Goa Group Vocational Training Centre, Ponda is committed for training all categories of mine employees as per the statutory guidelines of Director General Mines Safety, Dhanbad.
