HI I acknowledge the views of Mr Arvind & Mr Rajan. SMS is prepared in the plant as well as in the site.
The density of SMS is lesser than SME.
SME is suitable in hard formation and sms in soft to hard formation varying density and alumina.
sme is costlier than sms due to emusifying agent.
sme can be used directly in water holes , whereas sms cant be used directly, the explosive property will deteriorate. Polythene bags are used in watry hole in case of sms.

SME IS a plant made product. And only made sensitised at site by entrapment of gas bubbles. By chemical Gassing or adding of substantial. Quantity of porous anfo prills to form explosive.
Sms is truly A site mixed slurry explosive. In the sence that all the ingredients are brought to sight and mixed to form explosive.
