Yes, The drilling of small diameter holes in between large diameter holes restrict the boulder formation to a large extent due to the following reasons: -
- When the patch is drilled by 260mm drill ensure that the burden and spacing is 6 to 7 mtrs.
- In the intervening space bring a Diesel drill of 160mm dia and drill holes of 5m depth in between the large dia holes.
- Generally during charging of large dia holes we hardly do deck charging, as a result the explosive energy is not sufficient to break the upper layer.
